- It is working great with my Pre-AP students.
- With my general physics students:
- Lots and lots of excuses for not getting things done, in spite of one on one instruction, videos etc. It seems that Facebook becomes a huge distraction for these students. I spend more time being a task master rather than than a peaceful facilitator.
- Many forget their account information.
- Some of the issues encountered with these students are not related to technology and would have to be handled with a paper based course as well.
- IPC students are having great difficulty.
- My IPC class is limited on academic ability. Thus, they have a great deal of trouble with technology integration.
- Many spend most of their time retrieving lost passwords and such because they don't write them down or remember them.
- Setting up multiple accounts from the same set of computers confuses online hosts.
- When setting up twitter and Google accounts, the many requests from my one IP triggered the alert at Google and Twitter.
- Google denied us the ability to set up anymore accounts, but restored it after a few days.
- Twitter suspended any new accounts.
- It takes an online request to Twitter, a response to an automated email and a response to an email from a real person to un-suspend a Twitter account!
- No matter how many resources you give some students, they will always find an excuse to not do their assignment.
- No matter how many obstacles you give other students, they will always find a way to exceed your expectations!
Follow the exciting journey of a rural physics class into 21st century education and technology integration.

Progress
I have made a few observations about integrating technology into my physics curriculum.
